#64 Tuesday June 5th
From last week to this week, it just seems to work out, paintings started within a few days of each other, months ago, tend to find their way to completion the same way. One may take more time in consideration, the other more paint to canvas, distinctly separate paths, yet following in each others foot steps shadow.
Another ramble through the woods surrounded by Aspen and Ponderosa Pine. These beautiful and majestic trees lure me ever closer, their exquisite bark textures necessitating my ardent exploration. This intrigue with the micro is no anomaly, rather it’s why paint in the scale I do. The desire to capture the seduction of intimate proximity, requiring movement toward rather than away, a path to the hidden inside.
